Yes I do Keith... I meant Eileens Emporium sorry, I am now fast approaching a time when I can legitimately say without people laughing at me "put it down to age and my memory isn't what it was" :avatar::avatar::avatar:. But no it isn't that bad... I just got confused:hammer:.
I made two sets of folding bars some while back out of stainless which was incredibly hard to drill through, they work alright and I've had good service from them but they can be a bit tricky to use. Yes I have a brass loco kit coming soon and am going to get a 4F kit when Jim comes up to the York show in March. So far in brass kit making I've been confined to an F5 and some wagons along with scratching a sub frame for the Hymek build.cheers for now Paul

The Y7 arrived today. Had a look through the box and could not find the boiler ....... Aw aw ........ You know what that means ..... It's a roll your own. ...... Lucky I used to smoke roll ups .... That will stand me in good stead. :avatar:

    Pictures later.

    Cheers

    Hi Toto,
I am sure that you won't, but if you get really stuck, send it down and I will roll it for you.

Just had another look at the build for this. A really nice kit. Certainly a step up from the beginners kits but not over complicated. A lot of satisfying details to fit especially around the cab area and the brake system.
Not for me just yet but not that far away.
    Cheers
    Toto.

The Y7 is maybe the next step after Nellie I think Paul. A lot of similarities. I'll probably start on the same kit myself. The reason I bought the Y7 was that Nellie has the built in bunker which would be a bit harder to bodge to take the loco wagon.

Both are very interesting kits and full of character.

    Hi Toto,
Did you get all the extras from Jim?
Regarding Nellie vs the Y7. Despite being a cracking kit, Nellie is actually a fictitious loco in its current state because the loco that it's derived from had outside motion. Jim wanted to simplify it for people to learn loco building on and I have to say that he certainly achieved it.
Whereas the Y7 was a North Eastern Railway tank loco and a couple of them are preserved (one quite close to me at the Middleton Railway in Leeds).

    Hi aron,

Yes I have everything required to build it including motor, gears, wheels etc. I also have the bits for the mods to the loco tender wagon so the build is go when I am. :avatar:

    Cheers

    Hi Toto,
You already have more loco's than any of the more established preservation heritage railways have :avatar:
Good on you, now why haven't you bought that last Steve Beattie Class 25/3 kit that is still on ebay?

I think I've maxed out on Steve Beattie kits for now. :avatar:

After what I've bought of him this last while, he should be throwing it in. Now that would be impressive. Unlikely but impressive.
