Just indulged myself with one of Ellis Clark's 0 gauge Darstaed bogie tank wagons as I had a £20 discount code to use after buying 3 of his Darstaed Mk1 coaches a few weeks ago. It struck me that I didn't have any tank wagons, also that since I have a Heljan Class 05 shunter for my intended 'Heritage' layout, I didn't have anything yet that could hold a supply of diesel fuel for it, hence my excuse. As 'Heritage' railways often have preserved examples of rolling stock and wagons, some in bygone liveries, I chose this 'Pool' fuel oil tanker in post-war 'Ministry of Supply' guise.

It's quite a weighty wagon, tank is metal rather than plastic, chassis is die cast it seems, bogies likewise, and comes with 3 link couplings, nicely detailed too and a reasonable (compared to Heljan) price.

Talking of Heljan, yesterday I had one of several daily newsletters (or maybe they're 'sales letters') from Rails offering a few "Warehouse finds". Surely if they have any form of stock control they'd know what they had in the warehouse, but they're not the only ones, Kernow 'find' things from time to time! Anyway, they were offering a few wagons and coaches, including a few BR Mk1 57ft BG coaches in both GWR choc/cream, and BR/SR green, at £139.50 as opposed to the Heljan RRP of £325.00 (Now you're having a laugh!!!). Anyway, don't know how many they had, but I secured the last one it seems, hadn't really been bothered about any more coaches but surely it'd have been churlish to turn one down at that price, wouldn't it, and besides, I'm easily led.:giggle:
Anyway, details/pics when I receive it.
    Keith.
