The coloured LED lighting on LSD failed and stopped operating from the hand set, leaving just a dim blue light. I checked the hand set batteries, all good. So I finally got round to checking it out with Chris(kentishlad59) yesterday and we found the unit to be extremely hot, inside one wire had become unsoldered and there are two "burnt" patches clearly visible on the circuit board. Chris checked the power supply was correct which it is. So I might have been unlucky but just in case check your coloured lighting units if you have any, just in case, we don't want any one making an emergency call. Chris changed the unit for a new one, all working correctly now, but I will be keeping a close eye on it at the show.

Not so good. At least it was noticed before anything more serious had the chance to happen.

Interesting to see if the replacement has the same issue.

    Good luck

Looks like some poor soldering in there
Would have been Back feeding via one of the other circuits until that circuit failed due to the over load.
Kim Do the lights work better now( brighter or more colour variation) with the new changer module??

Chris it looks the same to me. Last few weeks the layout looked totally different without the green or blue lights on, amazing how different it looks with colour.
The last video of the Thames strutting its stuff was with just green and warm white on its lowest setting to try and represent early morning light. I shall be checking them every few hours at the show, just in case.
