Just seen 60103 Flying Scotsman in it's new BR green livery, looks really good and of course now matches the BR double chimney! First outing on the ECML on 25th February!! Cheers Ron
Can't get on to their website this morning, what a surprise! Off to see it if I can on the way to work this morning! Cheers Ron
Too far for me, but its due our way at some point this year as its going over the Harringworth viaduct. Hope you weren't one of the anoraks with big cameras that actually went up on to the tracks bringing the Scotsman and the normal scheduled trains to a halt.
It made on the BBC, plus a piece of video from one train fan, just as The Scotsman passed him, a Virgin Trains unit passed in front of it Paul
Nice to see it on the National News. I must admit it did look superb and seemed to be performing well too. It's supposed to be in Exeter sometime in the next couple of months so I'm already making plans to get up there. Might be able to pick up some South West Trains stuff as well as we don't get them down here in Plymouth.
Well worth seeing, even if I was an hour late for work. No photo's though as the Sun was very low and behind the trains!! Cheers Ron
I went over to Cromwell crossing (North of Newark) to see it. As has been said, the sun was low in the sky, and I didn't manage a decent picture, but a friend did, herewith. Keith. Attached files
Here is a great piece of video of helicopters and the Flying Scotsman... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RSxfB41xbM Cheers, Gary.
Nice video, shame about the helicopters but the Flying Scotsman really was flying, wonderful sight . Pete.
The Flying Scotsman as seen today at Trago Mills, Bovey Tracey, Devon. Hope you like it. Well, it is steam and it is green.
Lovely photo Keith and great video Gary. She was going like the clappers. . . . was Toto driving ?? Fantastic to see her under her own steam again though Cheers Matt
