G'day Gormo, Platform top looks good with enough clearance. Like you say, just a few edges that need tidying up and before long, it will look like platform 2. Cheers, Gary.
G,day Gormo, I enjoyed the video, the platforms are starting to look the biz and when you have the surface finished it will look fantastic, well done! I like the intro and end title music as well . Cheers, Pete.
Great video, I think you could enter the Eurovision with that song, you'd have a better chance of winning than most of the entries we put in. How about recording a Platform 1 Mrc signature tune.
Folks, Thanks Pete, Toto, Tany and Paul, The theme song for Gormo`s Shed had it`s little test run on that video to try and soften the blow for Episode 5 when it shows......Hmmm????....must do something about that..???? Anyway...back in the shed.....I`ve cleaned up the platform edges today and I`ve achieved some good clean lines I reckon. Too late now for any adjustments because I`ve gone ahead and stuck down the sand paper. It`s drying as I type and here below is a pic of it. The paper will be trimmed once the glue has dried. Also today, I received in the post, my latest acquisition. I won a small amount on the Lotto so I shouted myself another GWR brake van. It`s an old Mainline model but it`s in mint condition. It looks like it`s never been run.....the wheels are like new and unmarked just like the rest of the model. Actually it`s too clean.!!!! It just needs small Bachmann tension locks fitted and it`s up to date. Not bad for $20 on the Bay. Side A Side B And an end. I`ve got some brake vans from other companies that can now be consigned to the bay and if they sell, I`ll get some more GWR vans. More as it happens http://www.click Gormo
Have to Marty to keep ahead of some of these guys.!! I gotta stop giving them tips.....they keep raising the bar and so must I .???? I`m trying to organize the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to come around for a B.B.Q and a recording session at the same time........no response yet????. http://www.click Gormo
gormo wrote: Yeap, it does Gormo, been using it here for nearly 3 years, I get things like that early as I am on the developer network, was a bit ropey in the beginning but a vast improvement on windows 8 / 8.1. I am upgrading our illustrious flounders computer this weekend - going to give him an SSD and upgrade to windows 10, should be no stopping him then, just got to find the right slot for the SSD, answers on a postcard please.
I`ve just come across from Windows 7 Tany and I`m still not convinced. It takes a lot longer to load but once set it seems to perfom OK. I guess it`s a lot safer than the configuration I was running in 7??? Ultimately, I just don`t want to be left behind in the software stakes.....so I`ll give it some time for me to get used to it. http://www.click Gormo
If its speed you are looking for, especially at load time, i.e. from pressing the on switch to the machine being ready for use you need to invest in SSD hardware. Unfortunately you are a little far away to pop over for the weekend as Toto is doing but I might be able to talk you through a hardware upgrade if you want to pursue that avenue. If you are using a lappy, then getting used to using the hibernate facility rather than the close down is also a big advantage.
Thanks Tany, I won`t be going down the SSD route.....it`s a laptop....so I will try the Hibernate method as suggested. I have just had a notification from gmail, that they blocked an attempt 6 hours ago, from Toronto Canada, to sign into my account. Then another a few minutes ago....same location. I have reset the security for that account and changed passwords etc. There are some nasty little sods about.!!!! http://www.click Gormo
Too true Gormo you have to be careful what info you chuck out there these days mate I actually set up a junk email account so anything asking for an email address that I don't really want them to have gets the junk one. . . they can spam that one all they want. I just go in every few months and delete em all to keep it running Cheers Matt
Can't remember if you've told us about what buildings/structures are going on the platforms Gormo. Ed
I can`t remember either Ed??? I have a Metcalfe country station building and also A Metcalfe foot bridge at the moment. BUT!!!!!.......I am trying to work out a way to give them a makeover to improve the look of them. Scalescenes paper etc..you know...roof tiles, a bit of painting here and there, extra details like down pipes etc. I am still not 100% sure of how I`m going to approach it at the moment. http://www.click Gormo
Hi Gormo, I am sure a gormatic solution looms. and ...... as usual, it will knock spots off the rest of us. cheers toto
