That does look good, no great Gormo ! Is that an orange Cortina in the last two pics ?? Cheers, Gary.
Well I`m going out to the shed to have a look.........back in a tick..... The sticker on the box has been removed. The car has FORD on the rear of it. It does rather look like a Cortina, however I`m prepared to be corrected on that. I think I have a catalogue somewhere.....maybe it`s in there......I`ll get back to you http://www.clickGormo
I think you guys are right, the car being a Ford Granada. It has the elongated tail lights as opposed to the shorter, boxier tail lights of a Cortina. Cheers, Gary.
OK Guys, Here`s the official make and model according to the Oxford cattle dog. Yes!!!!....according to Oxford....it`s a Ford consul Discuss it if you like.....throw it around.....fight amongst yourselves......but this is what it is.??? Yiiipppppeeeee!!!!! Adios Amigos El Gormohttp://www.click......la cookaracha....la cookaracha...da...da...da...da....da.....da.....da....
The Consul Classic, the Consul Capri, and the Consul Corsair (made from 1963 until 1970) were relatively short-lived, but the Ford Cortina, after losing (along with the Corsair) the "Consul" tag in 1964, went on to become a best-seller. The Consul name was again used by Ford from 1972 to 1975 on a replacement for the Zephyr range, now sharing a body with the more luxurious Ford Granada Mark I. The two-door coupé Capri's name was also reintroduced in 1969. From Google.......so now we know Keith.
Thanks Keith & Ed, So now we know it`s maybe one of those mentioned......... I`m tempted to make a judgement call on this car but why spoil the party... Carry on chasps........ Oh dear, Oh deary me..... See ya lads....I`m going to Queensland for a week...... http://www.clickGormo
Have a great break Gormo. As they used to say "Queensland, beautiful one day, perfect the next..." They may have to change that slogan to "Queensland, beautiful one day, Gormonised the next...!" Cheers, Gary.
