Cut up the boxes, and lay pieces between sheets of damp kitchen towel, after a while the brown backing paper will peel off. Put the corrugated bits between some dry sheets of kitchen paper with enough sticking out each side to evapourate the dampness and place a weight on top, I use a chopping board for the flat pieces and a bottle and a tea towel for the cirved pieces, and when dry plenty of material for Nissan huts, GWR lamp huts etc. Save a few pennies for S.L.W!

A spray with Halford's primer water-proofs the brown side.

    Great idea!

Does the card get at all "fuzzy" after being wetted and sprayed?

That's a cracking good tip Doug, I'm glad you posted this because I need to make the backdrop of the Elton Crossing layout at some point which consisted of a factory clad with corrugated sheeting. :tophat:

Well, herewith a lamp hut from the same card, corrugations are a little large, but it looks the part, I think.

Although made from a solid lump of wood covered with card etc, the window is made by drilling a hole with a forstner bit and sticking some abstract outline card pieces inside, see below.
