Good evening all. A short intro about myself. Didn't know about this forum until one of the Mods seized the opportunity as I sorted my bag prior to leaving ModelRail Scotland on Saturday. I'm a signalman on the 12inch:1foot railway currently working at Dundee SC Scotland. I have my own layout - Thurgrove, a search of You Tube should give plenty views of the layout. An N Gauge modeller, I would describe myself as a competent modeller. I am a great believer in "Rule 1" when it comes to model railways - your layout, do whatever makes you happy on it. My main era is late 70s/early 80s with mid/late 60s also well represented. I do have have small amount of "newer" stock, but it spends more time in its box than running. Attached files
Hi from a sunny but cold Dundee, 5 miles can make all the difference Welcome to the forum, and hope you enjoy yourself, settle in and as a professional, get ready for a few questions. Paul
HI and to the forum, great to have you on board Think it was Toto who accosted you outside the exhibition, I was the nice polite one further down the corridor. Looking forward to seeing more of your work and as Paul says I'm sure the guys will soon be picking your brains Cheers Matt
Hi there Dhtulyar, It was myself that had you pinned to the wall. Thanks again for having the chat. I'm delighted to see you have taken the plunge and joined us. As Paul has said I think you could be a busy man answering a few questions on your expertise. Signaling is something that I cant get my head around. bed in, get yourself comfortable then come back and chip in whenever you like. I'll be off shortly for a trip around you tube to catch up on your work. once again ...... glad to have you on board. cheers toto
G'day Dhtulyar, Welcome aboard from sunny Sydney. I hope Toto wasn't too rough on you at the exhibition. I believe he can be heavy handed at times, but that's only when he is modelling, with a hammer ! As has been said previously, get yourself settled in, have a good look around, then get stuck in. Enjoy your stay and I'm looking forward to your modelling exploits. Cheers, Gary.
Hi Dhtulyar hi from sunny Spain looking forward to seeing more of your layout but from what I see already I'm impressed. I believe the lads were like a Platform1 recon team
and nice looking layout and I like your day job. Looking forward to seeing more of your model railway we also like a bit of 12' to the foot stuff as well. I think you will find just about everyone on P1 lives by Rule 1 , the second rule is, " If in doubt see Rule 1" Anyway aboard the train leaving from Platform 1 it's all about having fun with model railways have a look around get your bearings and when your ready join in I don't think we bite
Hello Dhtulyar, and welcome to the forum, looking forward to seeing what you are doing . Cheers, Pete.
