To any other "Southern" modellers like myself who might be interested in the above loco, I was talking to one of the Hornby reps at the Peterborough show last Sunday, who informed me that this loco is expected into their warehouse in mid November, for distribution shortly after. The list price is £109, Hattons pre-orders are already "Sold out", Kernow list them at RRP, Trackshack (Isle of Man) have an order in, but until they get an invoice from Hornby, don't know what their price will be, Rails have them on pre-order at £89.50+postage, so mine is now on order. Sounds like they might get snapped up pretty quickly, so anyone interested, I'd get an order in smartish. Keith.
Looks like I'll be getting an early Xmas prezzie from me to me, in the form of my Hornby "H" Class in BR (Late) livery, as I've had an email from "Rails" today, to let me know it's been despatched, hopefully with me by Thursday. Apparently, it's already 'Sold out' at Hornby as I anticipated, hence my pre-ordering one. I can see these going like 'hot cakes', so best go quick if you want one. Pic's will follow in due course! Keith.
It's arrived, only had time to unpack and give it a quick 5 minute run in each direction just to make sure all is well. As soon as I get time, I'll do a bit more detailed write-up and DCC conversion, which I imagine will be a quick and easy job. Attached files
Looks a nicely detailed model and runs smoothly enough on DC, so it should be even better on DCC! Attached files
