Don't know if anyone else has noticed the considerable increase in prices recently of Hornby wheelsets. A few months ago, Hattons were selling 5 types varying in price from £5 up to £6.50 for a pack of 10 wheel/axle sets. These are now £10 to £12.50 at Hattons, more at other sellers. I appreciate that material prices even in China, are rising, and the pound being down at the moment isn't helping, but a 100% increase in price over a few months is hard to justify in my book. What do others think? Keith.
Not just Hornby wheels Keith, Bachmann couplings and Peco rail joiners seem considerably more expensive (percentage wise) that they were a year or so ago. Ed
Interesting Keith, Are there other forces at work....taxes, freight increases, brexit......greed.????? That is a considerable increase http://www.clickGormo
