Thanks to all who have welcomed me into this group. I think I'm a slack modeller, I have built one small N gauge layout and scratch built a couple of rolling stock. But this was tiny work and a bit hard on the eyes. So I decided to change to HO. I started to build an 8 x 5 (foot) layout but found it took up too much space for my liking and was cumbersome to use in the space I had available. Well its now probably thirty years later and I still haven't got a running system together. At the beginning of this year I pulled my "masterpiece" apart and started looking into shelf layout designs and methods of construction. I have decided to build a simpler shelf layout based on building foam as shown in Ken Patterson's videos on You Tube, as his methods suit my style. I'll post some progress photos as I go, as this will help me keep on track (ugh). I enjoy building electronic gadgets, microprocessor programming as well as other aspects of electronics, having worked in these areas since I left school way back in 1968. That's my short introduction, so to everyone one. All the bestGraeme
Nice intro Greame. Electronic gadgets eh. there are one or two already dabbling in this witchcraft on this forum. You know, the wing of a bet and the eye of a frog. Paul and Keith spring to kind do have a good rake through some of their posts. I'll need to find some far flung corner of the forum to banish you wizards to. Welcome aboard. Toto
