Hi All, Thank you for your welcome I run a small very basic gauge1/narrow gauge garden railway. The layout is a distorted figure-of-eight with a double slip at the central cross-over. No buildings or figures - just planting. The track can be temporarily electrified but the main interest is with steam. On another subject, I am keenly interested in York Paul's superb work on his Elton Crossing construction. For the first twenty-five years of my life I lived within 200 yards of the site. I knew the place intimately. Two of my friends (brothers) lived at the crossing keepers cottage. Also, during the late 1950's and up to its closure I had a personal family relationship (if I can call it that!) with the signal box. Maybe I can help York Paul with some of his detailing - although I doubt it - his research has been very thorough. Thanks again for the welcome. Best, John Owen.
