Thought I would start a topic on my On30 model railway It's currently in storage but could be set up nice and easy. At home it orignaly was set up with a storage siding at the right side exit and a two track siding to the Left exit this formed a L shape in the small train room I had. And was the lower most layout of the three levels at shows it has a loop to the back turning it into a roundy round I made it a tourist railway so I could get away with running Narrow Gauge engines from all over the world Set in the Capertee Valley in New South Wales on the back side of the blue mountains so can justify big engines on little trains to get them up the hills. Layout on display On30 Lizard Ridge On30 K27 on my On30 layout NA running on Lizard Ridge. On30 K27 #453 This last one is a video click to view K27 passing Lizard Ridge by CHRIS, on Flickr

ed wrote: Ed I have even bigger ones a Rio Grande K28 and K36 The K36 is pushing it for being to big, I had to trim the platform edge to get it's balance weights to pass don't have any photos of it with me to post up but I do have a a photo of a C16 in bumble bee Attached files
A little bit of the Wolgan Valley/Newnes...?? Looks great Chris, have you exhibited this layout ?? Cheers, Gary.
Hi Chris, congratulations on picture of the week. there were so many likely candidates to choose from on Lizard Ridge. Great work. well done Toto

Thanks every one for the nice comments and all the thumbs up. Plus the photo of the week embarrassed now Gary the back story is a working tourist line set in the Capertee Valley now restored using equipment sourced from Railways around the world that were selling off Narrow gauge equipment all now restored in the Capertee Workshops Lizard Ridge is a intermediate station on the tourist loop The layout has been exhibited 3 times once locally on the Coast then as part of the NMRA annual convention and last exhibited at the Aus7 Oscale expo at the Liverpool power house. I should offer it for exhibit again as has been a few years since it was last seen. Gormo that K27 was the first sound loco I converted and uses a Soundtraxx Tsunarmi Rio Grande K class sound and the speaker is in the tender the last one I did A K36 I used a TCS wow and mounted the speaker in the smoke box it sounds even better and the chuff chuff actually comes from the right spot. That loco is in storage and I don't have any video of it too show sorry.
I found this on YouTube link to a video from the Aus7 O scale expo Lizard Ridge is seen at 7.50 in I'm guessing Shelley must have been running the trains as I can hear the bell on the K27 it's one sound I never bother to turn on. http://youtu.be/-TX6JnhHndE
