The above arrived this morning. This is the large versions the medium wasn't available. I am assuming the large will " do all ". It's made of laser cut Ply and comes flat pack with three axles. I'll get some pictures up later.
Waiting with baited breath for this one in case there's something in your "Pandora's Box" that I'll need for my "GT3 Project" toolkit that I've not thought of! Keith.
A couple of the " Poppy's " loco building jig. another the three axle alignments are supplies. They have small washers and nuts to hold the push rods at the correct centres as you set them up. and the last one, I have not actually glued it together as yet. I'll do that tomorrow. I think it will be very handy indeed. Looking forward to pressing it into action. cheers toto
Thats what I have been doing wrong all these years. I did not have a glass of "whatever" on the bench when working! Looks like an interesting jig though. Andrew Sandbar & Mudcrab Railway
Can we have a link to the manufacturer Toto, I like the idea. May be good to bond it to a hefty flat surface once it's built to make sure it stays perfectly flat and Square.
poppyswoodtech.co.uk is the website. I've just emailed them about ordering a 4mm Medium loco builder box, as it'll be a great help when I start my GT3 shortly. Unfortunately they don't do internet ordering and payment, you have to download the order form and post it in or they'll send you a priced invoice (including P+P) which you then post with payment. I guess it's a recently started small business perhaps not fully set up yet so it's a bit 'old fashioned'. Having said that, as you'll see when you go to the website, they have some interesting products, and the 'builders box' at £25 (4mm size) is a lot cheaper than the chassis jigs I've looked at, most around £70-£80. Keith.
Hi It is available via evilbay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/0-Gauge-Woodtech-Loco-Builder-Box-5-Versions-/381773789972?var=&hash=item58e37dbb14:m:mwMwTgMa3_TNgqLfnmm4sfA Paul
Medium and Large are listed as "Out of stock" presently. I won't need mine for a few weeks as I'm on holiday shortly. Keith.
The guy got back to me very quickly, but then my internet went down so I couldn't download the PDF invoice to find out how much postage was. I ended up calling Plusnet's helpline and being guided through getting it back up and running again eventually. Unfortunately, an item I was after on Ebay had gone by the time I was back on t'internet, Drat, Drat and Double Drat!!! At least my order for the Medium Loco Builder box is in the post now, and my grateful thanks to Toto for posting the info up. Keith.
Apologies for not getting the link over Keith. Still ...... you've got it thats the main thing. Dont listen to Paul ......... you can be as grateful as you like. hope you enjoy it Keith ...... and the holidays as well. cheers toto
