I'm awaiting delivery of a couple more "Golden Arrow" kits I recently ordered, these being one of the final build "Merchant Navy" unrebuilt version, and also the Bulleid "Leader" project 'diesel lookalike' steam loco. Also just won on Ebay, an unstarted "DC Kits" (associated with Legomanbiffo) "unrefurbished 4-CEP" EMU kit, for which I'll also need interiors/decals/paint/wheelsets/motor bogie etc. Although by now, I'm quite familiar with the "Golden Arrow" kits, I've no idea what the "DC Kits" are like, anyone any experience of them???

Just had a shufty on their web site, the kits are plastic and glue together ala Dapol etc, they also do all the bits and bobs to finish them.

    Hi Pete.
Yes, I've been on their site a few times in the past, as I know they do one or two SR EMU's that are not available in RTR. Parts to complete will cost me around £100 and I already have the paint, whereas most of the RTR 4 car unit sets are £200-£250+, so not a bad saving for a bit of work. I may well have a trip up to Leeds anyway to buy the rest of the parts I need, although I won't bother until probably early spring next year as I have plenty of other stuff to keep me busy. Incidentally, Charlie Petty, who runs the business, is a member on here, although not seen him post for a while now.
    Keith.
