Have just got hold of the Hornby Balfour Beatty Sentinel for use on the plank when I finally get down to doing something on it. Nice looking engine. It is going to be repainted though into a livery more suited to a China Clay setting. It might end up in pale blue for ECC or perhaps the grotty creamy yellowish of IMERYS. Not sure yet. Will keep you all informed. Got it from Antics for less than 50 quid. Now, how do I get into it.
Hi Bittern, I've got a sentinel in NCB. I've seen the balfours version and thought it looked good. It'll be interesting to see the transformation take place. When you do get into it, I take it it's to convert to DCC. Let me know how you get on. Toto.
