    Guys,
    I’m looking for some help..

I can now do 3D scans with my phone that are quite good and come out 1/1 scale so can be reduced for models….

however, as the actual model is composed of photos stitched, the actual item is micron thick and no good for printing.

has anyone come across a program or app in the program that will let you take that outside later and thicken it? A bit like the opposite of the hollow functions?

    your advice would be great!

    Hi Andy,

What format does the scan come out in? I could se that you could extrude flat sided objects fairly easily but something like a person would need so much more and I doubt that you are going to get anything for free that will allow you to do it.

It’s an OBJ file. Or MTL or STL take your pick..

I can export as any of the below if they suit?

I’ve solved it. There is a solid option in Meshmixer which I had all along and just don’t use.

    now to press print

I was just about to say that, or you could try selecting the inner face and extruding the surface.

Wouldn’t let me do the latter and extrude.
