Nice selection of pics. The 33 in green livery looks the business. To think that only 4 1/2 years ago it was in that dodgy BR grey/yellow livery. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers, Gary.

Another murky day at the South Devon Railway although I did manage to get back home before the rain set in. Nothing new on offer but at least there was a Beer Festival at Staverton Station.

No. L92 at Buckfastleigh and amongst the trees at Staverton

No. W55000 at Staverton on a Shuttle Service from Buckfastleigh to the Beer Festival at Staverton

!9402 Weekend at the SDR proved a pleasant experience! This lady in her genuine [coupon label attached] vintage dress was sporting enough to have her photograph taken with a local yokel!

Nice pics Mick, 75178 looks great in WD green, but Clan Line looks better... ;);) Great pic of the Spitfire too.

    Cheers, Gary.

Many thanks kind Sir. I have one in the same livery in O gauge and it would be great to have a couple of reference pictures for future use.

    Cheers

There are three different Diagrams of Autocars at the SDR, which ones do you need. There are slight differences in all of them

I started the day at the Paignton & Dartmouth Railway at Paignton and having got there just as the King was leaving I started with the London Transport Pannier Tank No. L94 and travelled behind it to Kingswear.

About half an hour later 'King Edward II' was spotted along the estuary so I followed it in.

Once everything was ready I returned to Paignton behind the King and caught him having a quick drink.

Whilst at Kingswear caught a glance of the old Paddle Steamer 'Kingswear Castle' on the opposite side of the river in Dartmouth.

Needing some refreshment (not the overpriced tea and microwaved pasties on offer at the PDR), I tried my luck at the Whistle Stop Cafe on Paignton Station Platform (Mug of Tea and a Bacon Buttie with change from £4). After refreshing went outside the station for a fag and noticed this Open-Top Bus and immediately thought of Gary: (Note the Rabbit in the Livery).

Hop 122 at Paignton Bus station

To finish off the day I made my way to the SDR at Totnes hoping to catch a glimpse of the WD Austerity that was out of order the week before but although the problem had been fixed it wasn't on duty so finished off with good old 6412 (photo no. 475 in my collection).

No. 6412 at Totnes on the SDR

That's it for this trip. Next week (weather and network rail willing) we have a Steam Special coming into Plymouth on the 22nd. It might be either the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe, Lord Dowding or Royal Scot.

Will see you all later. Hope you like the pics
