I want to renumber my 2 Graham Farish LMS non-corridor coaches to the correct 1948-1957 Midland numbering. I have found that the numbers that I require run from 41xxx to 42999 for the Composite Coach and 43100 onwards for the Brake / 3rd.
Images on a Google search are not really a help as I want to fit M41xxx and M431xx and not misuse the prefix of S; E; W etc.
    Many thanks in advance...

    Hi

In my copy of "The LMS Coach 1923-1957" By Bob Essery and David Jenkins, I copuldn't find any pic of coaches in those number ranges, if you know the diagram number that may make the search a little easier.

Not sure if these numbers go with LMS stock... I could well be wrong but the 431XX allocation refer to the 1951 build of BR standard non corridor Brake Second vehicles.

Thanks for the 'Look-Up' York Paul, to be honest this is the same as I found but I noted it as it was all that I could see that might fit. But there is an implication i feel that the LMS Coaches would have been included in the post 1951 numbering. I shall attempt to locate a Diagram Number that might narrow it down, as paul_l has suggested, above.
What I do not want to do is to 'make-up' a number as some kind person is bound to comment at some time in the future and that would be unfortunate...

Thank you Paul... I have now looked at the Websites of both The LMS Society and The LMS Carriage Association regretfully without locating anything that answers my query!
My own book 'The History of BRITISH RAILWAY CARRIAGES 1900 - 1953' by David Jenkinson covers the non-corridor stock but not to the degree of listing or showing Diagrams I'm afraid.
So I shall now put my requirement on the back burner and keep looking,
Grateful to you and York Paul for your help...
    Best regards...
