Try SCARM, totally free and no restrictions. http://www.scarm.info/index.php Runs under MS Windows, but does run in Linux and possibly on MAC using Wine emulation software (which is what I use).

ed wrote: Yes your right there Ed, I used it for my track plan which has way more that 50 pieces, takes a while to get used to, but once you know the basics its a breeze, also covers most of all the track types and makes. I highly recommend it I used the Peco Code 75 flexitrack on mine..... http://p1mrc.com/p1mrc/view_topic.php?id=2094&forum_id=6 Keefe
As I said it was free ( Beta 0. 9.37 ) but if you get the new version( v. 1.0.0 ) you have to pay for the key .Have a look here on there FB page. https://www.facebook.com/scarm.software

Upon investigation, this all happened two weeks ago on 30thJuly 2017 Extract from blog, link below. "Starting from this release, the unregistered version will be limited to work with up to 100 tracks and/or objects and 5 layers per project. This will allow the free use of SCARM for small and some medium-sized track plans and layout designs. But if you want to unlock the full potential of the new version and to plan with unlimited number of tracks, objects and layers, you will need to buy SCARM license key." http://www.scarm.info/blog/general/scarm-v-1-0-milestone-released/ On the homepage, it now says License: Freeware (limited) Ed
Noted this, link below. "In the end of the beta-phase lifecycle, the SCARM beta versions will stop to work. If your current SCARM beta version does not start or no longer loads properly, its lifecycle is over." http://www.scarm.info/blog/general/phasing-out-of-the-old-beta-versions-of-scarm/ So I've posted the question, 'When is the end of the beta-phase lifecycle, when the SCARM beta versions will stop working' on the Scarm thread on RMweb. Thought it might be nice to know Ed
