I haven't posted much for quite some time as Split Creek is moving forward very slowly. Here is a slight view of the Split Creek under build conditions with some cheap Hornby circa 1968 rolling stock. http://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?media/split-creek-work.3188/ I've been doing some loco work, and purchased these CD deck drive motors to re-motor these old trains. The motors are $A25 on eBay. http://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?media/cd-motor.3189/ Here I have an open view of D6524 after installing the new motor, which just purrs along now mmm. http://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?media/re-motored.3190/ And the following photo is my first attempt at The Gorco Connection (Gormo coupling connection), it has to have a name Gormo!!! http://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?media/the-gorco.3191/ I'm quite happy with my first attempt at this chain coupling method. And finally the difference between the original coupling gap and the Gorco gap: http://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?media/gaps.3192/ As you can see I have been enjoying a bit of maintenance work as I have time.
