Making up some retaining walls, I want to avoid a hard right angle here, this will be filled with polystyrene and shaped with plenty of bushes and trees added.

 

All go on the new coaling stage project, Intentio Pit in and railed up plus the first track going down, front road will have a long pit installed before the track is fixed.
I picked up two lengths of Peco for the rear road from the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway shop along with a box van yesterday, I did respace the first 8” to match the C&L track as it’s visible but the rest is hidden behind the coaling stage and the ramp! Plus some laser cut sleepers in place for the Ragstone buffer stop. Polystyrene added in the corner.

More static grass today, 6.5mm strands this time along with some trim your self tufts.
It does feel a little grass heavy at the moment but once the front track and pit is in and it’s all covered in ash and crap it should balance out the green nicely.

Let’s see if we can make an old meets new retaining wall. Driving through Abersychan gave me the inspiration for this but it happened all over the country.

Some of the superb Modelu figures arrived today for both Sonning and the coaling stage, these will be heading off to Claudia Everett for her to work her magic on them.

 

Weathering and little detail editions today, adding the fantastic Modelu guttering to an Intentio mess room, I decided after I had given it the first coat of paint to add a broken piece in, down pipe still to add, liqutex puddles and a broken wall with a pile of individual bricks! They need weathering and a used sleeper wall behind as a quick repair job, I love adding little details like this for me it’s what brings a layout to life. There the sorts of things most will overlook as the Locomotives will take the primary focus but once you look past them there’s a whole little world going on.
