    The 16x10 feet plan:

    CSFT_Layout_Plan2.jpg

This layout was built in modules no longer than 6 feet long, so that it could be dismantled and moved. The proof of this modular concept was that I had to move 800km to start a new job, and all except the 3 bottom modules were moved on a 6x4 trailer - the bottom modules unfortunately had to be scrapped or given away as I didn't have time to build a proper frame in the trailer to move them too. But if I had more time the whole layout would have been moved.

    The 14x8 feet plan:

This layout was also modular with modules no longer that 6 feet long, for the same reason as the first plan. This layout started as just the "Dolton Industry Park" module and was added to over time. The whole layout as indicated in the plan was also moved, twice. So, again, the modular concept was proved worthwhile.

    I hope these are helpful.

    Regards, James

Thanks James - I had not considered modular but I will have a play with the concept. Both of these look fun to operate. Dave
