In HO, has been changed since after the completion of the base framework. The returning loop passes under the upper level
https://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?media/final-plan-maybe.16117/full This is the updated plan, the curve at the top left begins a 3% decline allowing for the lower level to pass under the upper level. As the track emerges from under the upper level it will begin a 3% incline to rejoin the upper level
Need Help for signaling, i have an idea but if somebody could suggest the locations for signal would really be appreciated
Going to be a big day today, finish laying cork and start installing the inclines/declines and hopefully get some track down along with starting the bus wiring.
Just looked at your track plan and there is a heap of track in the scene ! I played around with your plan and came up with this iteration... If you follow the numbers from 1 to 15, it will take you on a journey from station A via station B to station C, with longer runs in between. Cheers, Gary.
Well, good day today, got some more cork down, install the incline/decline and tested the incline with a W Class and a flattop T class with some GY wagons behind, success. Gradient is 3%. https://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?media/test-run.16130/
Hi Gary, Your idea pointed out an issue, if travelling clockwise from station a there is no way to return without detaching loco and running around
Just like in the real world ! With your current plan, I see you need to stop the train on the main line (yellow) and reverse it into the four track yard (green) centre right, if your train departs from the main station I have labelled #1 on the plan. Whether you choose to run either route where the #2 is, you will still end up on the single main line in the bottom right hand section and have to reverse into the yard/storage sidings. Cheers, Gary.
Hi Gary, I have altered the shunting / station yard to have a head shunt. Ill add to the gallery for you to see.
Hi Gary, I could remove that entire area and put on upper level and move the station to the single track straight on the inner left?
