After many a singed finger I decided to do something about it - I tried improving my technique, but if burns on burns didn't speed up the learning process, I think I need help.

"TOBOS Screen Protector Tempered Glass,[Anti-Fingerprint][No-Bubble][Scratch-Resistant] Glass Screen Protector"

However they appear to be of good quality, but I will test them out, I have some lamp irons to fit, and I can still smell the singed fingers from the last ones I tried to fit.

Try these Paul. I've used these for years, as one hand doesn't work as well as the other.

Just got to be careful when gripping curved items, as the cross lock is quite strong and can end up launching the part.

    Cheers

I bought mine which are similar from one of the pound shops. I have a tendency to bend the ends to suit particular applications and they do corrode with the flux. So I would rather buy several cheapo sets than one good one.
