I would like everyone in the Platform1 family to consider voting for this post to secure a young modeller a DCC system as a kick start to his modelling career. Their is a certain young modeller that is just stating his transition from train set modelling to a railway modeller He's on pocket money and hand me down trains and I think that getting him started with a quality DCC NCE power cab system of his own would be a big boost to his efforts. It's young people that are the future of the Hobby and stretching to DCC would be many years ahead if we don't all help out. DCC is the future of keeping the interest in the hobby but quality DCC control is often out of reach of the aspiring young entrants to the hobby. So this post is aimed at securing a young modeller a lifetime of hobby interest by getting him a kick start at the top end of town. Face it the rest of us can afford A NCE system if we really wanted it and I've already got one so if one of my Topics/posts won I would be donating it to This young modeller any way. I have seen Jack at exhibitions, with enthusiasm plus helping first time train driver on his Dad's hands on shunting layout demonstrating how to do it with a smile. If this post gains enough votes Toto can send the NCE system to the person in the photo below Young Jack a great investment in the future of our great hobby. http://www.click Attached files
Hi Gary, Feel free to vote for who you like. No conflict. Anybody in the same position going forward will be free to vote likewise. The only one without a vote is myself. I will not have any opinion one way or the other. My good luck wishes go everywhere. Cheers Toto
I'm with you guys on this, just wish I could get my Grandkids interested and away from their tablet computers! Keith.
Totally agree with everyone here, it has my vote! Jack is the perfect example of a younger modeller to promote the hobby . Cheers, Pete.
I'll need to try and move the thread into the competition number 3 post. I think it's possibly being missed by anybody looking in. I'll try and do this tonight. Cheers Toto
That's so generous of you Chris for making this post. How can I not vote for this thread. Count me in please Toto ! Chow, Jack.
