Hi 6009, Welcome to Platform1. Glad you could join us for the journey. There is plenty of projects on the go here. It's just a case of looking in amongst the threads. You'll find a bit of everything here so once you have settled in, jump on the keyboard and come back and let us know what you are up to. Glad to have you onboard with us. Cheers Toto
G'day 6009, Welcome aboard from Sydney. Plenty to read about and lots of eye candy to look at. Great bunch of friendly members here willing to help you out when the questions are asked. Get yourself settled in and enjoy the banter that is P1MRC. Looking forward to what you have on the go or what project you have on the modelling bench. Cheers, Gary.
Hi Paul, Thanks for the welcome,it is only 30 deg C here today, even the track is not buckled, gets a bit wobbly when we hit 42 deg though,it is an outdoor track only 100 ft around oval shape with HO,O,and 45mm,to cater for everyone ,I run DCC,DC, and MTH DCS for control, I have come from live steam 5" & 7 1/4" ,to 45mm Garden rail to O gauge 7mm scale and that is my preferred scale,i prefer to build loco's from kits or scratch,i finished the DJH NSWGR 60 class garratt earlier this year with DCC and sound,i have fired the full size version many moons ago when I was a fireman on the NSWGR,a beastie of a loco, I have a lot to learn and with some help from Chris ( Moonan Flat) and others in the group I will have a go at an end to end layout for 7mm Cheers Pete
So you have been about a bit by the sounds of things. I'll look forward to your 7mm end to end. Keep us updated regularly. Cheers Toto

Thanks for the kind words Chris,it was you who inspired me to do a Plank layout ,at least the track layout doesn't take a lot of time,i have already drawn a dozen and that has only taken a week, so off to Bunnings Hardware tomorrow for the base/timber etc. Cheers Pete
