G'day Whaler, Welcome aboard. Am I right saying that we met at the St Lukes Model Railway Exhibition ?? If yes, it is great to have you on board. Plenty of great members here with a wealth of modelling experience. There are also plenty of great layouts and topics within the pages of P1MRC. Looking forward to reading about your own modelling and what you currently have on the go, or what's on your work bench. So, settle in, have a good browse around and if you have any questions, fire away as the answer won't be that far away. Cheers, Gary.

Many thanks for the welcome, yes Gary we met at the St Lukes Model Railway Exhibition. As I indicated, I think it is time to resurrect my old layout. A little about myself first. Hornby train set in my early years as well as well as a Meccano set, with clockwork motor! Scalectric cars followed, a big involvement with track layouts and scratch building of cars and racing at club level. Next came Off-road Radio Controlled cars and racing at club level. In the 80’s I attempted an N gauge layout on a surplus interior door I had, laying track, scenery and buildings. 1986 Halleys Comet took me away from my track and I purchased a telescope and took up Astronomy. The layout has been collecting dust and minor damage ever since. Thanks to Gary for introducing me to Platform 1 MRC, I have spent quite some time reading the many Forums and all the fantastic results from your many members, I have a lot to learn. I can isolate sections of my track to enable me to run 2 trains at the same time. Some photos of my layout follow.
Great pictures and a great introduction. Glad to see that you have resurrected the layout. Well worth it.
Ah yes, the layout on a door, now I remember ! It was great chatting with you at St Lukes and it's great to have you on board. Like I said on the weekend, if there are any questions you need answering, you are in good hands here at P1MRC. Looking forward to watching the layout come alive. Cheers, Gary.
