Hi Bear and to the birthday celebrations here on Platform 1. It's great to have you on board and a great start for us going into our second year with another new member to help mark the occasion. Pull up a seat, get the comfy slippers on and when you are ready, come back and tell us a bit about yourself. Are you just starting out in the hobby or are you an old seasoned hand at the game. I'll look forward to catching up with your posts as they arise and I'm sure all the others will be delighted to have your take on their layouts and projects etc. Once again ...... aboard and I hope you enjoy the journey with us. Cheers Toto
and Bear to the Platform 1 family as we turn two. Have a good look around there's lots to find in the forums Check out the layout topics and Gormos shed. Then pop back to this welcome post and introduce your self with a little about yourself and your modelling interest etc You can use the welcome post to practice posting and trying to add photos or the Emojis etc. Then why not try starting your own topic. Again welcome to Platform1 http://www.click
A warm from Dundee Glad you decided to join the madhouse here at platform1mrc, especially on our 1st birthday. As Chris and Tom have said have a look round and when you're ready please introduce yourself to the forum. Once again welcome Paul
Gday folks and thank you for the welcome. I found out about the forum from watching Gormos videos so thought I might sign up.I started with trains about 18 months ago and am currently working on my 2nd layout. It basically consists of 5 loops around a spare bedroom with minimum curves and points so that I can run as many trains as possible and they can go as fast as I like. I like European stuff and my "fleet" is mostly Roco, a few Fleischmanns and some Trix. I have a lot of Hornby stuff too but don't run it much as the derailing for no reason drives me mad. I am currently awaiting delivery of an ESU Ecos 50200 to replace the Hornby Railmaster system which is a good concept but way too flaky. Trains slamming into reverse at full speed for no reason is not a good thing. Hope to be able to contribute something as time goes by. Bear
Sounds like you have been a busy man. Shame about the derailments. Could be worth looking into it a bit further to try and resolve. It'll give you a bigger fleet to choose from. Thanks fo.r posting up the intro, it gives a little insight as to what you are up to. Feel free to post up some pictures of your layouts or your rolling stock. We are always keen to see these things. I have not seen much flieschman stuff myself so very interested. First class Again ...... aboard. PS ....... Love the avatar Toto
G`day Bear, aboard mate and if you need a hand finding your way around the forum just give us a yell. It`s pretty easy stuff once you get the hang of it.!!! http://www.clickGormo
Hi cheifnerd.I made a short vid about the show but I missed a few of the exhibits (those snags don't cook themselves!). I just grabbed a bit of footage as I was walking by and cobbled it together.
Great Video Mr Bear Looks like an interesting Exhibition esp for a regional area. Good to know someone was keeping the sausages sizzling. Looking forward to seeing some of your models, when your ready start a Layout Topic.
Hey Bear that was a particularly well done video...... The exhibition was very good too and it`s nice to see some other type of modelling included. The guy who does the wooden model locos is a genius.!!!!! http://www.clickGormo

Looking at your video post about your layout tells me that you have navigated the forum quite easily, thankfully nothing too difficult here ! Anyway, dig in, read up, enjoy the banter that is P1MRC, and I'll be following your layout build and videos for sure. Cheers, Gary.
