    Hi there Big Yin.

:welcome: to the forum. A very Scottish ring to your handle. Have a deek about and when you are ready, come back with a bit about yourself.

I hope you enjoy your time on the forum with us.

No its a nickname given to me years ago by a scottish guy i worked with and it just stuck, 6ft 3 and over 300lbs so hence the big yin.

Found out about the site via Gormos You Tube channel so with learning so much from his videos i decided to join the group.

Not at a layout stage yet, busy refurbing my home before starting loft conversion for my layout. Try to get time to fix, paint, weather all the models and railway stuff i buy for the layout. I tend to buy stuff in poor condition that i can work on and make look good again, well hopefully it does.

Many thanks for joining our community. :tophat:

    Cheers for now.

Thanks for the messages guys, headroom is a little tight for me once the floor goes in etc but a wheeled chair will resolve that issue at times lol.

Hi BigYin, you will fit in well here, one or two of the lads are into recycling, I know I've picked up a few tips from them, and have done some myself.

Good, ill have a look for them. I enjoying repairing and making good, so for me it was a simple choice, buy the stuff most dont want and make it run and look good. Always on the look out for tips, and when they are running round a track i can look and think...i made that happen

Yes a lot of mine is Triang, Airfix and a few old Limas...doesnt matter to me, they can still run, look good with work and cost a lot less than the new stuff out there.

    Hi Paul
Scroll down the header page there are sections for rolling stock, buildings, locos just pick a heading that looks close to what your going to post open then click the new topic and post away it will populate straight into the rotating current topics one you post.

    G`day BigYin65,

Sorry I missed you on the first pass.

Welcome to the forum. There`s a fair bit of lively banter on here when the lads get going. Some of them are a little eccentric..... I won`t mention any names....they know who they are....just grin and agree with them....they`re OK really.....just don`t mention anything about goats.....that`s my advice to you.

Enjoy your ride with us and jump in where ever you like.....:avatar::avatar::avatar::avatar:
