I have been interested in model railways for all of my life (no surprise to all in this Forum, I guess), but due to family and work commitments have done little about it. Here is my current project: trying to build a Scalescenes Boxfile Layout. I really need a lot of help for that. Thank you very much for your friendly welcome.
That's great, we will be having a competition starting for that quite soon so you couldn't have come at a better time. Great to have you join us. Cheers Toto
Hi Charost from sunny warm Spain I'm hoping to complete a Scalescenes boxfile layout in the new year but we'll see... anyway hello grab a brew get comfy and enjoy Ian vt
G'day Charost, Welcome aboard from a very warm Sydney. Looks like you have the hang of posting already and I look forward to your Scalescenes Box File project. If you need some pointers on getting the model completed, just shout out, as there will be plenty of responses for you to take on board. I myself have put together well over 30+ models from John's creations, both as the kit, kit bashed and scratch. Enjoy the camaraderie and banter that is P1MRC. Cheers, Gary.
I forgot to write that I already downloaded the nice Scalescenes Boxfile kit. Only God knows what I'll do with it.
Welcome Charost, great to have you on board. It appears the boxfile kit is really taking off! Can't wait until your's is started to see how it go's together. I wouldn't worry about how you will get on with the building of it as John designs his products to go together well but if you want to have a practice on something a little simpler you could build one of his free to download kits first. Anyway, good luck with it mate, if you make a mistake, print another off! Cheer's, Pete.
and a warm to the forum from Dundee I would suggest downloading the low relief warehouse kit Free from the Scalescenes site, as this a great starter and there is a thread on here describing its build - I'll look it up and post the link when I can get to my PC. Start saving cardboard boxes - you are about to become the recycling king of the household - don't ask how I know Once again welcome to the forum, and I know you'll find lots of help and advice - some of which may even be usfull Paul
I carefully stored it in my PC for later use. And now back to the roots ! I'm going to build a roundy round H0/00 layout. One track, one train and one controller. See you soon !
