Just a nice amount to make it look like a working loco. Subtle use of powders but very effective. Thanks for posting these up.

Don't let us put you off posting more up ........ Just in case you didn't recognise it ........ That was a hint ......:avatar:

    Great stuff.

The Dapol Terrier will be of specific interest to Paul ( of this parish ) as he also has a Dapol Terrier that he has just bought. I'm sure he'll want to pick your brains about the sound chip.

Don't tell him too much though as he has an OO gauge layout to have ready for an exhibition in Dundee in October ....... He is not allowed to touch the O Gauge stuff yet ........ Just listen. :avatar:

Sounds like you have a nice collection of loco's.

    Cheers

    Toto

I'm a bit late with the welcome ( been busy with non- railway stuff!) but better late than never. I'm ex- Chesterfield myself, now moved out to the sticks for the quiet life in retirement. Maybe see you around in the future,
    Keith.

You'll be referring to Chesterfield's famous "Crooked Spire" then Ian. Local legend has it that the day a virgin gets married in the church, the spire will straighten out!!!!:avatar:

I gather that virgins are an 'endangered species', so I reckon the spire (which has been twisted by about 10 feet out of true since medieval times) is likely to remain twisted for quite a while yet. Speaking of the spire, that'd be a challenge to model, even for the likes of master modelmaker Allan Downes!
    Keith.

The secret to building that spire, is give it to Toto, with instructions on how to make it straight, and it will come back with the appropriate sqintiness :avatar:

    G'day Kevin,

Wow, two and a half pages and look what I've missed out on !! :D Great models with lovely weathering. Nice touch with the loco names and builders plates. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your models.

Oh, by the way, welcome aboard !! Great to see you dig in deep from the get go, much appreciated. Great bunch of members here and some I'm sure you're making a tad jealous with your quality O gauge models... (ahem, Toto) :avatar:

Enjoy your stay, enjoy the forum content and enjoy the banter as we all do !

    Cheers, Gary.

Had a good look round the site and I like what I see here 👍.

Looks like Toto seems to be the O gauge wagons guy, does that mean I send him my brass kits to do lol :scratchchin::avatar:

    Geeeeeeeeeshhhhh ........ dinnae dae that.
I have bought a few of various kits but have only tackled the Parkside Dundas to date. Even at that, they could be better. My skills are very much in their youth so I'd think twice. i will however try most things after a month or two's contemplation each time.:avatar: Apprehensive to say the least but enjoy the hobby none the less and the company that this place brings with it.

    cheers

Toto likes to collect unmade kits - we like to taunt him about them, until he's shamed, bullied you name it and he finally opens them up in the presence of glue
