G'day Graeme, Welcome aboard, glad you could join us ! It was great chatting with you at the exhibition today. Looking forward to reading about your modelling adventures. Now kick back, have a good look around the forum as there are some really great layouts and topics. Most of all, enjoy the camaraderie and banter that is P1MRC. Cheers, Gary.
Hi Greameo, to platform1. Dig in, make yourself at home and then when you are ready, come back with a bit about yourself and what you gave on the bench and your plans going forward. We're a friendly lot here so jump in and meet the mob. Cheers Toto
Thanks Paul, Thanks for your welcome. I met Gary at the Platform1 mrc stands at the Epping Model Train show today. The friendly bunch of blokes there had some really great small layout on display and all were very encouraging. So with the details I received I joined today and hope to find the forum useful in my layout creation travels over the next year or so. RegardsGraeme
Hi Greame. Good to hear that you enjoyed the show and the crack with the boys. They are an enthusiastic bunch of guys and I'm sure you'll find that it is representative of the forum in general. I look forward to accompanying you on your journey with your layout and other projects so please feel free to jump in and make yourself at home. It's all about participation and fun here. Again a big platform1 Cheers for now Toto. Oh .....l. And good luck in the intro competition. A great little filler up for grabs and a great Scalescenes prize as well. Toto
Welcome from the East Midlands. Good to hear you're into electronics, I'm a 'dabbler' myself, though as a retired Electrician, electronics is a whole different ball game to me, but I'm slowly getting to grips with it. Keith.
Hello Keith M, I've also done a range of electrical work with a business partner over the years. So I know what you mean. I also taught Industrial Electronics and Control for many years at TAFENSW here in Oz. Most of my students were Electricians upskilling to what used to be called Special Class electricians. Any way both electrical skill and a little electronic skill is very useful in model railways ... as well as the real thing Graeme
