Hi again Ian, I have changed your account back over and deactivated the other one. You will need to log back in under this username ( hobbyking_ian ) now in order to post up. ( remember and log Hobbyking out ) Please give this a try to ensure the changes have been successfully carried out. Apologies for the confusion but the two accounts being registered under different user names threw things a bit. Finally ........ to platform1 I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers Toto

and Hobbyking Ian From a warm and sunny land down under Now you will have to jump on in with an intro to Who The Hobbyking is, let us all know about yourself and your Hobby interests. lots of fun modelling going on here and a bit of serious stuff as well so join the fun. Again a big Welcome, Ian to Platform1
One of my many passions is RC planes and i look after the RC plane category at Hobbyking.com You may be familiar with brands like Avios, Durafly and H-King. We would be one of the worlds biggest model RC manufacturers. I'm based in our Australian Office More recently I've ventured into trains again setting up a bit of a layout in the garage. Points are all handlaid including two double cross overs which was a lot of fun. Layout is bi directional and just getting started really. We just released some HO scale containers which i'm quite proud about. I even snuck a linfox in there for us Aussies.
Hi Ian, I'm glad we finally got you sorted. Great start as well. Now ...... Garage layout eh .... You'll need to get some photo's up I'll look forward to seeing more. Cheers Toto
G'day Ian, Great to see you could join us here after our meeting at the Hills Model railway Exhibition. I'll be looking forward to reading about your garage layout indeed. Settle in, make yourself feel at home and enjoy the camaraderie and banter that is P1MRC. Cheers, Gary.
I picked up a dapol kitmaster signal box kit for for $17 whilst I was at Castlehill. Figured i'll be kit bashing that to look more NSWGR-ish. It could quite easily pass for NSWGR Attached files
Hi Ian, Maybe people round here could convince you to get a Platform 1 container made up... would be more than a bit of interest. On an unrelated matter, my boss was very impressed with your service and speed in the delivery of a number of fireproof bags for LiPo batteries for our RPA (drone) some time ago. Cheers Tony
I was once upon a time the Category Manager for Lipo batteries but I must say i'm much more grateful to be looking after planes, trains and autonomous flight controllers. Train people would probably not know hobbyking but drone and rc pilots would absolutely know about us. I like you're idea about the container.
Hi Ian Great to have you Aboard as a Hobbyking customer I can say I have had great service when getting items and recently saw the containers on line. Looking forward to seeing your layout progress That signal box makes a NSW conversion easily I have it as a copy scratch built just bigger up to O scale and it looks just right http://www.click
The signal box looks good Ian. Perhaps you could enter Competition no.6 on 'how to bed the building in'... Cheers, Gary.
Hi Ian The box has come up nice You have picked up the posting gig ok Time to start a layout thread so we can all follow your build progress. It's great seeing new projects grow and also gives yourself a record to progress and helps spur on progress. http://www.click
