Aye up me duck. Welcome to the forum, from a very sunny but cool Nottinghamshire UK. Sit thee’sen back and have a look at what’s here and join in when your ready Andy
Thanks for the warm welcome! I've always loved model railways and a potted history includes Lego trains, Push-along Lone Star OOO, Clockwork Hornby OO, 'Proper' Hornby/Lima OO, O gauge & L gauge (Lego trains again, as an adult). As usual, life gets in the way but I'm now determined to find more time for the hobby. Currently collecting track and stock to build an O gauge layout based on 1960-65 during he transition period. I had to abandon my last attempt due to a house move. I also have a reasonable collection of the more robust Hornby OO from the late 1970s which would make a great layout for my Grandson as an alternative to L-gauge (he's a bit too young for both). Jon.
G'day Jon, Firstly, welcome aboard and secondly, it sounds like your on your way to something great ! Looking forward to reading more in the near future. Cheers, Gary.
Hi Jon, welcome, probably my first train set, the old Push-along Lonestar OOO, even ran it between centre rail and an outer rail of TTR Bakelite track, points were a problem though Jim
