Hi there Chris, Welcome aboard Platform 1. I'm not sure if you are one of the many guys that we chatted to at the St Andrews Exhibition over this weekend but regardless, jump onboard and tell us a bit about yourself. It doesn't have to be war and peace but as much or as little about what you are up to within our hobby or what your plans are. The members here are very friendly and always happy to hear what others are up to. It's also a great place to get the answers to questions if you are having problems with any facet of our great hobby. Get settled in and have a look around. Feel free to come back whenever you want. Delighted to have you onboard. Cheers Toto

Chris, Fantastic, more excellent examples. For everyone else's benefit, Chris shared some images of a recent loco scratch build done in plasticard. A real treat to view and a fantastic talent. Should maybe introduce my self now well I'm Chris 27 from Norfolk UK currently serving in the British army. I've always had an interest in the railways and tend to focus on east coast region of the UK not only has this line had some of the most famous locomotives rattle it's tracks (flying Scotsman, mallard holder of the world speed record for steam locomotion) but it's home and what I grew up around I remember at the age of 6/7 my dad took me to Norwich station to see flying Scotsman on a rail tour and as the only kid there was privileged to ride on the foot plate as she ran around the train much to the displeasure of the mass crowd on the platform. I mainly model 4mm 00 gauge LNER from pre big 4 to early BR but currently looking at creating a small shelf layout of a steam scrap yard as a shunting area using a class 08 and some modified non running locos any how I look forward to seeing your models and layouts and making new friends to share knowledge with. I'm also a member of Cupar and district model railway club which can be found on Facebook if you would like to have a look and join many thanks
Hi there again, Thanks for the whistle stop tour. The steam scrap yard sounds good. I have an illustrated book on the famous Barry scrapyard. If your baseboard dimensions fit our plank competition limitations ............ It would make a great entry. Check it out under the a Townstreet competition heading. Cheers Toto
