Thanks Andy, authentic railway colours are great if done properly in railway buildings, I needed to create a light and airy space which represents what and how both Lis and I work creatively and this theme suits the building and space and also is an in vogue colourway.
Pretty much nearly all done now with second coat of white on cupboard insides ... just some small improving touch up work on the green colour to be done tomorrow and then that's it bring this refurb to a conclusion. To recap the studio has been re-roofed with replacement breathable membrain and insulation, had dry ridge and verges installed, all damp ingress rectified, new guttering and drainage, retiled new floor and redecoration, new UPVc units and total rewire and trench cable with Part P certification... its cost a damn fortune. One final item due for delivery on Wednesday are four pairs of stainless steel magnetic door catches for the cupboards... even got new knobs fitted. The "crackled" grain look on the door faces is simply achieved by allowing the raw grain to show through on the recycled timber and not covering with deep layers of paint.
Looks far to good for a workshop, I thought with a few extra tables and chairs you were about to open a cafe - sorry and artists refreshment area, much more elegant sounding. Superb job, but no sign of the 9F & 8F, and the spray booth is where? Paul
8F not started yet... funny you mention the 9F I was about to set up the soldering iron and Proxxon drill to complete fabricating the remaining motion parts today.
Indeed Ian and with luck it will still remain as tidy just so long as Lis doesn't bring in all her art stuff to dump against the freshly painted walls
Boy are you getting brave, I think all that oil based paint has started to cloud your judgment and survival skills
