Kim I am interested in the "pink fur" is that similar to the chux cloths that were in the recent video about making grass? Could I get some details please? SWMBO loves a visit to Spotlight so may have to take he (of course there was no ulterior motive my dear )
Simply Bootiful my luvley ......video is spot on, possibly too high quality, bit of grain, scrathes, cracles and flicker (weathering for video so to say) Paul
Now that is a superb video Kimbo... full of atmosphere and charm, I remember you building this extension some time back and can remember just how much effort went into making it happen. Thanks for sharing.
hi Graeme, no the pink fur was in deed from Spotlight on special offer as it was PINK !! And there was only about a metre left so I snapped it up. I’ve not tried the dish cloths yet, but will post up my efforts when I get around to it. snap! Mine loves it in there, but I don’t mind looking at the brushes and oddments bins for scenic items.
Chee Cheers Paul. I think there’s an option for the old style grain / crackles and flickers on my video editor, so next one in black and white will get the option, just for you.
Hi Bob, a bit slow at the moment, seemed to have lost my mojo with my layout. But will try to get back in the groove as soon as. Kim
Love the black and white Kimbo, it really adds to the atmosphere and the era. Nicely done mate ! Cheers, Gary.
Cheers Gary. Yes it’s nice to have a change, I’m going to try the old scratch / flicker effect that Paul mentioned, on the next clip
Well I broached the subject after showing the picture of the "pink fur" and she said OK. I am writing this from the trauma ward of the local hospital as I collapsed with a severe shock, doctors want to use the situation as a research project on what happens when a wife agrees to a husbands suggestions. On a serious note I "blended" some polystyrene foam and made "boulders" with it. I glued it down with PVA and sprayed it with 50/50 PVA + a drop of dishwashing liquid but that did not hold it. I have resorted to a big squirt of PVA into a spray bottle with dishwashing liquid added to see if that will hold. Has anybody used polystyrene this way and if so what was used to hold it in place?
Not butting in Kim and Graeme, but this is only a suggestion try SELLEYS AQUADHERE ( EXTERIOR ) This also dries Clear, Ralph
Ralph I am using a Sika PVA (same people who make Sikaflex, used by yacht owners) it is both interior and exterior, it is what I have used on my G scale trestle. The green shed did not have exterior aquadhere when I went looking. Pictures of boulders in this thread https://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?threads/ringbalin-light-railway-ho-division.4520/ I am gathering all things about the HO division into one thread.
