Looking like another night in the shed. Beautiful weather. Time to start the electrics. Update later. Cheers Toto
It was 40'C in my shed when I got home this afternoon!! Cooling down a bit now thank goodness.Bit of astro tonight as it's a clear sky (for once!!)Don't burn you're fingers!! CheersRon
I went to the shed it seemed quite cool but in the space of half an hour it was a bit uncomfortable. I got a couple of track feeds done but ended up abandoning it. Far too warm. It's meant to get hotter tomorrow as well.i may set up outside , see what tomorrow brings. Cheers Toto
Don't forget the sunscreen - for the layout that is I thought you'd have stayed out to get acclimatized for your holiday. Wimp Paul
I torture myself every year with these holidays. I'm not a heat seeker, I just like the relaxed pace and ability to cut about with a T shirt and shorts on. It's just a completely different way of life. I do look forward to getting home again. Could not handle it full time. 2 weeks then I'm climbing the walls. Cheers Toto
Well Toto, You`d better not come to Oz in summer.......20 to 25 degrees is a nice cool day.....I kid you not !!! Autumn is beautiful here. http://www.clickGormo
It must be a hard life Ian. Someone has to do it though. Gormo, ill have to consider that. I like warm but not an inferno. i am looking at a getaway to take SWMBO to in September .......... its her 50th. I am looking for a small harbour village ( with a few tavernas and eateries ) more traditional than fly infested tourist spot. but still warm ......
Far too warm for shed duties today. Especially when your water supply messes up. Turned the tap on around four hours ago and was met by filthy water. Broken main down the road so they are just getting it fixed now. The water is starting to clear again but a bit to go yet. toto
It's getting that bad that even the English are putting the beer into the fridge A ground splitting 29.5C, thank goodness sanity will be returned, thunder storms and torrential rain forecast for today - after all it is a bank holiday weekend (for some - I'm working on Monday) Paul
25*C...., At the moment, we are having autumn days between 22 and 25*C, beautiful weather !! You guys really need to come down under when it gets up around the 40*C mark.... The hottest day recorded in Sydney was 47.8*C back in January 1939. During February we had several days in the 40s, peaking around the 44*C in Sydney, but in Western Sydney (Richmond), it reach 47*C... Now that is warm... Cheers, Gary.
Well the thunder storms arrived - according to the weather man it has to do with High and Low pressure fronts, but we all no the real reason, my next door neighbor has the family round for a barbie - but being a Scot, he put a gazebo up and the kids are all partying away in the tent Me I have a pint of Guinness Dublin Jamica Porter, and packet of chrisps, which may be followed by a drop or two of golden nectar http://www.click Enjoy the rain and thunder Paul
And I'm slaving away in a hot shed. anyway ......... track feeds are the name of the game so I started off by cutting some wire to length and tinning the ends. there are around a dozen or so pairs to be done. and in they go. and there we are, and the aftermath on the underside of the base board. thats tomorrows job. Install the track BUS and solder the track feeds up. slow but sure. cheers Toto
Slow but sure. Compared to the speed I get things done you are positively racing along, it doesn't seem that long ago I was reading about clearing the shed and baseboards. At least you will have something to show Gormo when he arrives. Jim
