With all the structural work done I can start with the scenic work and try out a Woodland Scenic tree making started kit I got at the Warley Show. Yet another signal box has appeared for reasons I explain in the video, but I had so much fun building it I forgot to film any of it so you only get to the finished thing on the layout. I test out using PVA to create the water effect for the canal basin.

I've been carrying on with the scenic work around the branch terminus the canal and its basin. I've also been painting the signaller from Modelu that I mentioned I was getting to put near the new signal box at the front of the layout. Having that to paint gave me the impetus to get on with a number of other figures which I show in the video. The two running sessions are of the train cam running around the layout. Now that there are not large areas of white foam to spoil the views it was good to get the camera to travel both clockwise and anti clockwise. Some of the best views of the layout are from the train cam now, indeed some can only been seen from these images.

I have been working around the canal basin continuing to do the scenic work which has required me to start putting the scrapyard back on the layout. I've also resurrected Two to Watch for a couple of new YouTube channels that could do with support. My LNER O6 (an 8F in LNER disguise) take charge of the coal train with a Castle heads a train of Collett coaches.

Sometimes the smallest of things can take up a lot of time. I have been making woodstacks to put into the woodyard. In the end I had 11 stacks of timber, but it took a long while to get there. I've also been busy completing the main parts of the scrapyard. I also came across something for storing the growing collection of wagons. Two streaks take charge of the running session

I have completed all the scenic work around the canal basin and the canal. The woodyard buildings have been lit and put in their final positions and the yard lamps put in. The time has come to start pouring the PVA to create the water effect for the canal.

It is amazing what you can do with 50p worth of PVA. using the PVA to create the water for the canal basin and canal has turned out rather well as I hope you will agree.
