This is one of two new small but big Shinys to join the HO scale roster it's a C44 GE Locomotive The prototype was built in Newcastle Australia 🇦🇺 and the livery it is finished in is of one that will be familiar to U.K. Modellers and that is the Green and Yellow of Freightliner The models are Number CF4407 and CF4408 produced from an Undecorated Box model and I have also installed DCC with some mods to the original PC boards to optimise the opperation. The body details of these models are at the cutting edge of model railways I would say very nice indeed. I ran CF4407 yesterday on the club layout for the first time and below is a photo of CF4408 next to the New o scale loco to give you an idea of how big it is as a HO 3.5mm to the foot model Ok so the internet crashed and the photo didn't up load so second go Attached files
And here is CF4407 running on a Coal train And hopefully an link to the quick vid that I posted on the Platform1MRC F/B page https://www.facebook.com/groups/PLATFORM1MRC/permalink/1236459183076378/ Attached files

Chris, you'll be turning Toto freightliner green with envy, even his 2-6-4T will be smaller than that Paul
Very nicely finished livery Chris. Smooth runner as well. Is this an Ausicion model ? I recall getting the body off the chassis on a 93 Class is a PITA, or have the manufacturer fixed this ?? Cheers, Gary.
Yes Gary these are same as the 93class the reason that it's a PITA is the ditch light optics have a cover that makes the Chassis an interfarace with the two locos the covers weren't fitted and were loose parts, I only fitted when I was about to fit the body to the Chassis a smear of Aleens tacky glue and all is good but it's a tight fit.
A special livery CF 44 joined the fleet its the special man coloured livery done as a a tribute to a Famous Australian race horse that I don't think ever lost a race Named "Black Caviar" the locos colours are the same as the silks she ran with Here she is stables with some other modern Horse 🐴Power. And like Toto this week I nabbed a bargain on Eivl Bay a brand new model And with my latest %off voucher save $100 on the current list price hopefully it will arrive this week Same type of loco as the Freightliner and Black Caviar however run by a different company SSR with a different Loco number coding CEY xxx very Australian colours though on this one photo from the manufacture my one is CEY 004 with the Name Kandos Kandos is a small town over the back of the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. Did I say it's bright 😎😎😎😎 Attached files

Thanks for those videos Chris, the first was good but the second was amazing, I put the headphones on and turned the volume up HIGH, wow! so much power, and AC/DC, Thunderstruck to finish!!!! , at 16 minutes they passed a Garratt at what appeared to be a scrap yard, do you happen to know anything about it mate? Cheers, Pete.
jakesdad13 wrote: Hi Pete glad you enjoyed those videos by Bevan wall. Re the Scrap yard and Garret It's actually the Famous ZigZag Railway workshop area See this link for why it looks like a scrap yard After a Bush fire wiped out a large amount of rolling stock and the workshop side of the main sheds its taken them a long while to get back to a stage that they could start the rebuilding as well. http://www.zigzagrailway.com.au/FireOct13.php The Garret is a Ex South Australian Railways, Bayer Garret No402 and is 3'6" Gauge 4-8-2 --2-8-4 wheel arrangement
