Carry on Sir. Great modelling and very clever use of lighting bringing people's attention to the various details and points of interest. Looking forward to more. Cheers Toto
Wow, just as well Chris or my son weren't driving the truck, handbrake turns and all, of course, now you have to do the show and tell for the truck conversion Paul
It has all been said above, so what can I really say ?? I know, "SIMPLY STUNNING..." Keep up the great work, as I'm always waiting for more. Cheers, Gary.
Well done on a top pic of the week Kim And great work with the RC truck thought you where up to something with that space. Looking forward to some more info on the truck build a rival to the end of the line truck by the look of it. I hope you have plans to stop it falling off the edge if you have a miss steer would hate it have to make a one way turn to the floor. Great bit of animation truck delivered to the dock and gets driven on/off the punters will keep comming back for more.
Thanks guys, much appreciated and thanks for the picture of the week. I will post up the info about the RC conversions. Chris is correct, the idea for them came from a layout called " End of the line" The Morris was the first attempt over a year ago. There's a couple of early clips on my you tube page if you want to see more. I will post up the latest one which is a nicer conversion and will be a better model for the show in June, if I don't run out of time. Again thanks to every one for the positive feedback, it does help to spur me on with the layout build. Kim http://www.click
And the video of you reversing off the low loader. My son Adam and I used to race RC cars (well I used to make the numbers up), it was always fun watching newbies, when they've driven away and all going well - turn the car to the left and the car turns left, then they start comming back towards themselves, especially after the first few good laps, the confidence level is rising and they open the throttle, the smile gets broader, then instantly turns to horror as they try and negotiate a chikane - and panic sets in as they turn the car the wrong way, turn the wheel / stick to the left and the car still turns to its left, but comming back towards yourself, it turns to your right. Paul
Paul, how funny you should say this, the controller I have is set up wrong. When you move the controller left the truck turns right and vice versa so driving from the far end of the board to where I sit at the far right has the truck facing you, so the drive is easy but then as it goes up the ramp you have to remember it's the opposite way round. I'm taking it up to the RC shop today to see if they can show me how to change it around. Kim
Paul, just for you, a reverse off the lowmac, did it first time !!!!. Even with the hand set corrected it was still "fun" to drive.....practice before the show me thinks. Better still, what are you doing on the 4th,5th & 6th June?
The others have said it all - brilliant. Now I definately want more details What type of r/c transmitter are you using analog or digital. Digital would be best, as these pair with the handset, so if someone bleeds over you signal the model will just sit where it is, analog on the other hand will just go out of control. Maybe funny for spectators, absolute nightmare for the owner (especially for a car that can travel at approx 30mph). Paul
Thanks Chris, Gormo, Ian, Paul and Ralph. When I get a chance I will sort out all the RC details I have and post them up. I have a layout operation / test day today with a couple of volunteers who have offered to help me out at the show. Kim.
