I'll salvage some of the ply for the test track. Some will have to be tipped. .......... The clear out continues ........:tophat:

It's a bit sad though Toto, considering how far you'd got.

    Hi Ed,

You are right. It's a bit sad but hopefully reinventing myself in a more modest manner will help. Not just that, it's really about participation in the hobby than looking for the end result. It's an ongoing saga you could say and one that I thoroughly enjoy.

    Here we go again.

Nothing happening tonight ...... Puppy sitting. better book a plastic surgeon for later. Skin grafts I fear.

Back on the case tomorrow night. Tidy up a bit, move the contents around a bit to give me some working space. I'd like to have the shed cleared by this weekend to let me get started on the new build. :tophat:

I've done a bit of a take off to determine how many sheets of ply I will need. I reckon 5 or 6 at a push. I'm at work next week then a week off. Great timing. SWMBO will be doggy sitting whilst I'm in the shed. :scratchchin: ....... Better mind and tell her. :avatar:

    Cheers

Well, soon be the weekend and time to move on with the rest of the strip out. This weekend will see it done and possibly the start of the new build.

It would be good if I had the weather on my side as it means that I could stack the majority of the sheds contents outside and give me better room to work in but it's not essential.

I'll post up the progress pictures as they develop.

    Cheers

    Toto

And with dry weather Lulu could come out and give you a helping paw - four paw drive and teeth to spare.

If the beeb weather forecast is corrrect, you'd better save the wood to start on an ark.

Sounds like the weather we are having in Sydney. It has constantly rained (minus the odd break) now for two weeks !

    Cheers, Gary.

Well, the add does state : 'Based in Longniddry, we create and supply bespoke tarps for customers all over Scotland.'
You trying to tell me that there are parts of Scotland it doesn't rain...?? :avatar::avatar:

    Cheers, Gary.

Progressing well with the clearance. Just done trip 1 to the tip. Frank is the next to bite the dust. That's after dinner. Tip trip 2 shall be tomorrow morning then reorganise everything to one side of the shed and then .......... " the build commences " I'm hoping to at least be going for the plywood at B & Q tomorrow.

I have a full week off as from next Friday so it'll be over before you know it.all framing and shelving done.

Then it's back to Luib Bridge with plenty quality workspace to crack on with.

    Cheers

    Toto

I can see a comparrison here ... as the theory goes .. a butterfly flaps its wings on one side of the world and a storm happens on the other ... Toto mentions B&Q in Scotland and a tribe in the amazon moves deeper into the forrest ...

Another good couple of hours in the shed and everything is now stripped out awaiting a further trip to the tip tomorrow.

I left a bit of timbre support in place to help as a timber rack which keeps the timber a bit tidier whilst I work on the new build.

The shed will be tidied a bit further after the tip run and then prepared for the commencement of the new build. It'll be ready to go by tomorrow night.

Took a bit doing having to work around the contents but worth it to get to the next stage.

    Cheers

    Thanks Ron.

Looking forward to putting it all back together again. :avatar: I'll need to invest in a nice comfy chair now to sit at my bench. Maybe even a mini bar. :avatar:

And a box of glossy mag ........... Erm ....... Railway mags.

I'll get a photo or two up later today once I've cleared last nights down takings away to the tip.

One thing that bothers me is that the R & GLR has sort of distanced itself over the space of the two major refits. I suppose Luib Bridge could just be one section of the bigger picture. I need to keep it alive in memory of my best pals. Pity the latest K9 addition couldn't take a leaf out of their book. ....... Little monster. :avatar:

    I'll post up more later.

    Cheers

Been to the tip, dumped my rubbish, been to B& Q and got some ply ripped up. Now well on with the install. There will be photos later tonight of the progress.

    Cheers
