Great intro My way I did it. Great to see that you are dipping your toe into the water. I guarantee the water will be up to your knees in no time..! Ah yes, Zero One. I remember reading about the system back in the 80's in the Hornby catalogues and thought to my self Wow !! How things have changed ! Enjoy P1MRC.

    Cheers, Gary.

Hi there, no worries. It takes a little time to get used to things but you are picking it up very quick.

I'm very like yourself, Facebook and Twitter are a bit alien to me but I am starting to warm to Facebook but only really for the purpose of the forum.

Your image is really good. I like the coal on top of the coal sacks. Good modelling there.

    Cheers for now

    Toto

Hi Toto. Thanks for noticing my coal sacks. I thought at first when I had just finished them that they looked more like a load of fag end's scavenged from a beer garden ashtray. - That will be Gormos next video! LolCheers mate

Hi again Ian. Think you are correct. I've struggled to find much about the company of Ellis 's other than I know he had the railway siding at Rothley station. As the sign shows. If you Google GCR Rothley you will see the old store he had has been extended and is now called ELLIS S TEA ROOM. I modeled the store and went down there with my poor long suffering wife whom held the tape measure and made the notes. We went in the Cafe and explained ourselves to the ladies who work there. We had lovely chat good tea and wonderful home made cake. I will post a picture of my Ellis store. I made a loading platform as well. I kind of dreamt that part up. Very little info available for that area of the station. So I pleased myself Gotta go again on a Driving break ... times up Thanks for the interest.

Hi Gormo You could consider using the filter tips. The type the hand rollers use. Over here they are Swan filter tips standard size is called slim. Next size down are exra slim. I reckon stadard size to be about right. There around a Penny each [size=here in box of 100 ish. I reckon dip em in some kind of dye. Maybe tea ?? Then they will look less rigid and a bit more fabricy? ? Dip the ends in pva glue and... when I did my plastic one's I crushed up some real coal and shook them in a little plastic pot.You might need to paint the sacks first.Sounds like it might be worth a try Cheers mate][/size] :gday:
