    Oxford Rail make the warwell wagon. I don’t think it's depressed, looks pretty happy to me.

    Well we’re nearly ready.. it’s not been as photographic wise for the titivations as I thought, but for having not been out in 17 years (I have now worked out!) it’s not looking bad.

    it’s now got the front skirt on, and just awaiting glue to dry.

    2 hrs to get packed up and in the car now!

    Well we are set up.. two issues to resolve (as our hosts wanted to lock up at 8pm for their tea) a wire that powers the LS150 point unit has come loose and I had a dead section of track.. that could be an issue as I can’t see why it’s not working. So early start tomorrow and see what we find.

    Track issue took us a while, problem with a fish plate- threatened with the soldering iron and all was good.

    The point motor was also down to a loose wire in transit)

    now for today

    Nice going Andy. Despite a few teething troubles for you on arrival, it was good to see that the layout was all sorted out for Saturday morning. I trust you had a great time too.

    3pm, gee they letting you out early ! :giggle:

    Here in Sydney Saturday runs to 5pm and Sunday to 4pm on a two day event, but on a three day, Saturday/Sunday til 5pm, Monday to 4pm and all 8am starts !

    I was there on Sunday with my brother in law, we both agreed it was a great show. Oakamoor is a cracking layout and the photos don't do it justice! A few teething troubles are par for the course for any layout at an exhibition, you just get stuck in and sort it! Quite a few years ago a mate exhibited his brand new layout at Guildex the big O gauge show. It wouldn't work as there was a short, being analogue he switched all the sections off one by one until the short vanished, it turned out a copper clad sleeper hadn't been gapped but it took half the show on Saturday to find it!!

    thank you Pete. Very kind of you to say so.

    yes I’ve been lucky in the past. (I think this would have been Oakamoors 8th exhibition, didn’t get a badge for every display so lost count) only poor running with dirty wheels being the issue I’ve had before.. so for a layout coming up to 20 years old and not run in public for over 16, I can be rightly proud. Still got stuff to do, things we forgot etc..


    But we enjoyed it. Just look forward to another exhibition..

    maybe it’s time we had a platform one exhibition !

    That sounds like a trip I done with our Flounder & Co up at Elgin.... Problem was under gauge wire used on the Cobalts... :facepalm:
