That is a nice idea. Plenty of Short Haul branch line railroads ran through forested areas as such, just google/youtube short haul railroads ! Another idea is shipping containers stacked up three or four high... Downloadable shipping containers are available quite cheaply too..

Maybe even Peter (PC163) can supply you with some of his own... :scratchchin:

That's a handy container site Gary thanks, have just put some existing tree's around the exit to get an idea of what it could be like..

I have used trees made from seafoam (amongst a few pine trees) which allows you to take the foliage to the ground, or at least close enough to the ground so that low shrubs, grasses, brambles etc can be positioned underneath. This blocks the road scene on Jay Dubyew Nth Yard almost completely, which in turn fools the eye believing the road goes 'somewhere' !

I used the Joe Fix Studio's sea foam pack (scroll down) :

Alternatively, there are these products from Howard Scenic Supplies : http://www.howardscenicsupplies.co.uk/categories/Trees/Natural-Fibre-Trees-%26-Bushes/

    Cheers, Gary.

I like that idea Ron. The picture looks good if it can be replicated. Looks like you are well on your way to achieving it.

Thanks, I'll build a small mound at the entrance to lift the trees and bushes to hide the gap:thumbup:

Think I might change the layout name to Rush City yard[/u] as there are a couple of other creeks about on the forum and this is a more accurate title I think? What do you think??

Nice sound there Ron. I notice your welder working away on the shed.

Did you say slow progress. Don't think so ..... You are always full steam ahead. The ballasting looks great as does the over growth on the track next to it. The bit rail lying along side the track is a nice touch as well.

    Job well done Sir.

    Cheers

    Toto
