Looking really good Tom, do you recommend a hot glue gun then? I'm fed up with no modelling to do but at least I've got the plank (Hinchcliffe) at work to operate (play) on! Cheers Ron
On good thing about using a hot glue gun is that you can model spiders !! Well not exactly spiders, but plenty of fine webs.... Just be carefull when using a hot glue gun as they tend to leave strands of glue from the last point of contact, to where you put the glue gun down. Cheers, Gary.
Hot glue is fine but when offering the work up to its place of fixing, you only get one shot at it. A very quick, strong grab. Loads of spiders webs as the guy say, oh ........ And very hot, at least so the blister on my finger tells me. Cheers Toto
Need to change the thread title now Toto.... A Warehouse for Bridge Less or A Warehouse for T.B.A. It is coming along well though, if a trifle large Ed
Hi Ed, I've done a bit more but I'm loosing confidence with it a bit. Starting to make mistakes. I'll keep going with it and see how it ends up. I'll post some progress pictures tomorrow. Cheers
Here are a couple of photo's. ........I know its not tomorrow yet but it was yesterday. Here we are, More support to keep the front two fascias together. and then we start to go around the corner. I've cut the two end doors in order to model them open. I may open one of the front doors. We'll see. cheers toto
Thats going to be one imposing building Toto, dont worry about the mistakes, they're all learning excercises, and can normally fudged . The roofs will be fun , but a man of your calibur will easily overcome a mere tiling issue. Paul
and a wee bit o lead flashing, or you could use felt, corugated cement / galv steel / asbestos sheets. Dont worry grasshopper, I'm sure you'll find something to persuade them into place Paul
Hey Toto, That looks great. On such a big project it`s hard to keep the momentum going but with such an imposing structure it will be well worth the effort. You`ve come this far......keep pushing at it and you will win. We are all our own worst critic but you must put those thoughts behind you and push on regardless, because you will finish up with an impressive building. http://www.clickGormo
Hi Gormo, I'll be progressing it today. It is ok ( ish ) and will be useable I think so it'll do whilst I hone my skills a bit further. I suppose the important thing is that I have enjoyed doing it so far. It'll be a warts an all build. It will also help populate Ordgait and start getting the layout off the ground so to speak. Cheers Toto
Your warehouse is coming on strong now. I guess from your last pic, that the building will be sitting on the angle as shown ?? Cheers, Gary.
I took a look at how it would look at the angle and it does give it that slightly different dimension to it so it's looking likely. I need to try and push it on again but this weekend is out as I am at Glenrothes for the show. It'll have to be the following weekend and ....... I have a holiday weekend Monday coming up at the end of May so that's looking good as well. Cheers for now. Toto
How we gonna see the finished item if you don't pull your finger out - there you go motivational speech over Paul
Got a point there Paul. I'm frightened to say it but it is my intention to get this on the move again this weekend. We'll see. A few footery bits to do including more down pipes, parapet walls and the like. Fingers crossed. Toto.
