Just won it on the bay. Usually £415.00 buy now £325 or make an offer which I did £275.00 and won it.

Boxed, as new needing wheels, motors and gears etc.i make that a saving of £ 140.00. Can't be bad. I'll post up a picture or three when it arrives.

    Cheers

I may have my facts wrong as looking at DJH website it actually comes with wheels, motor and gears. Unless the owner has robbed them but I'm sure they described it as new and complete. I'll double check. Even better if its all included.

    Cheers

And there's me thinking that you didn't like white metal - the 03 is all white metal apart from the chassis isn't it?

Got home fom Berlin today to find this has been delivered. There is a lot of white metal as you say Rob. I'll get a picture up later. The good news is that it did indeed come with wheels, motor and gears even though the advert said it needed them. Must have just been a mistake in the advert. Makes the kit an even better bargain.

It's gonna weigh a ton ...... Or two. :avatar:

Yes my A3 didn't need any extra weight...

I will be interested to see the chassis, to see whether it's the two brass slabs or a more refined etched version like the A3.

I have to say that although some of their white metal castings can be a bit iffy depending on how worn the moulds were when the parts were cast but their lost wax brass castings are superb and equal to any that I have used.

Just don't drop it on your foot

Looks like a fine etched chassis rather than a thicker milled one.

And it will be running when ?

It's not that Toto can't start the kits, its the bits don't want to come out of the box - I wonder why :avatar:

Now you being a fully paid up sparky, I'm waiting to see the dimmer switch mod to your 80W beast

    Hi Toto,

Save yourself some hassle and buy one of these to keep just for soldering whitemetal I turn one similar up to just below the second setting on the dial and never need anything else.

    Hi Rob,
Took your advice. Just ordered one. I have a solder station ( from marlins) but I can use that for other things as it was considerably more expensive. The one you pointed out will be ideal mucking up for white metal. It'll save me messing up my Hysong I've. :avatar:

    Hi Tom,
I am sure that you won't regret it. - I bought mine from maplins when they had them on special at £9.99 I was so impressed that I bought a second as a spare and it's in the loft in case the original dies.
