Hi Chris, your 0-6-0 tank looks very much like the black one i rescued a couple of years ago. Unknown kit built in a sorry state, no one seemed to like it so it arrived on my door step at a very nice price. Now I've just found this model recently sold on the "bay"and it say Manning Wardle 0-6-0...Looks exactly the same model as yours and mine, but Im struggling to confirm if it is? Do you have any ideas.? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/O-Gauge-Manning-Wardle-0-6-0-Brass-Kit-built-Loco-/291761548843?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESINDXX%3AIT&nma=true&si=6%252FeGJN53YBR%252FX3Cr8NDEHAsH0fo%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
Excellent work Chris, looks stunning. Have you been nicking my figures? there's a few faces there I recognise. Back scene look great, really finishes it off nicely
Excellent work on the backscene Chris. You have certainly done a stunning job on the application. The colours/tones of the backscene blend in seemlessly with your scenery. Thank Shelley for the great pics. Cheers, Gary.
Hi Chris what can one say that hasn't already been said, now with the back scene finishedHappy Shunting
Thanks Everyone I was pretty chuffed too, when I turned on the lights and saw the effect of the photo back drop. Edit. Little people yes I even have some of the Modelu folk only one painted and driving the c38 need to do the rest of them soon Kim the little loco is the same one I was watching that on eBay as well its a Mega Kit by the Home of O gauge possibly not available any more. My one has the motor to the center Axle unlike the eBay one that Drove the rear axle the eBay one was much better finished than my one and Aust post did a number on it as well the orignal owner May not have packed it well as it was just foating around in a big box with one wrap of bubble wrap so got rather bent tanks foot plate chimney I have straightened it as close as I can get without completely Unsoldering the model. It's going to get a repaint to a worn industrial gray/black so a little bit of bend in the footplate will give it character (but the price was right) Was able to grab a screen shot from eBay of the kit details Attached files

WOW! The backscene is AWESOME! It really brings the layout to life. All you need to do now is add the bridge abutments. Ian
Thanks Ian And Kim The bridge abutment /wings are in progress along with all the other bits and peices that I want to do. The back scene makes the layout look bigger than the 40cm with it is.
You two sure you want the layouts side by side, the competition between the two layouts is gonna be fierce, may even turn into kangaroo's at 20 paces. The layout is looking really good Chris. Paul
Hi Paul thanks for the complements, no competition between us two that I know of, anyway Gray would be a hard man to keep up with with the quality of his modelling I better warn up the Kangaroo Really it's Platform1 and our two small "Quality" Model Railways offerings up against the big tail chasers that just have trains running round basic "Train layouts" not "Model Railways" I'm sure Gary and I are going to put up a display worth seeing and may even change some people's views on model railways big is not always better and you can have a lot of fun without going round in circles. As Gary said on Skype last week you often get people walking by without even looking and you hear them saying, Its only XYZ they don't even look to see what they are missing in the modelling. It's not just in Oz I was told a similar thing by a UK modeller that took his very fine European O scale Railway to The O scale Show at Telford he said for half the show he wondered why he had bothered as the punters just kept walking by and not giving his display a second glance, to then stop and look at a circuit of track with no scenery next to him. http://www.click
Hi Chris, i'm sure you guys will pull them in. As you say its all about quality not quantity. I'd say the planks are much more interesting. Love the carriages. Look a bit clean though only joking, I would not put an ounce of dirt near them. Any chance of a close up of them ? The stand that you guys are pulling together offers much more than just some running trains. It brings together the hobby as a whole with loads of interesting information, models, social element and gets conversation going. To me, it encourages modelers to reach out to each other and share the hobby rather than blinker themselves. Good luck and have fun on the day. cheers toto

Thank you kind Sir, Lovely carriages. The surrounding scenery helps set them off nicely. Great stuff Chris.
Tom I think you and I are going to need ladders, these lot are raising the bar so high were gonna need all the help we can get to even see it never mind reach it. Great to see such excellant models. At exhibitions here, over the last few years, the larger tail chasers have dropped in numbers, especially at the smaller regional shows, and I would put that down to transport costs. For me that is a bonus, as I like smaller compact layouts as there is more for me to see / be inspired by, and possibly aspire too. And as for non British layouts, I've even started looking at Ozzie layouts , just as long as it's not GWR - sorry lads Paul
Thanks Toto and Paul Don't worry about the ladder a stool is all you'll need It's not as hard to make it look good in O scale that's my story anyway, You guys will ace it Well the Tourist season started at Moonan Flats this week with the population exploding extra station Staff are sent each morning from Scone, the Junction station for the Moonan Branch to handel the extra load as the tourists Tourist Season at Moonan Flats The observant will see that the painter if putting the finishing touches on the yearly spruce up. Excellent photos Chris lovre that 3805 and the progress you've made demonstrates what can be done when you make an effort good on yer! Ian vt
Chris, really looking good now it populated and nice to see figures without bases. Do you drill their legs and add a small piece of wire, or are they just free standing and or glued?Kim
