I have been building this layout since the early part of the lock downs. The layout is about 24 foot x 24 foot with a central 8 foot x 4 foot peninsular. Its using Dcc++Ex and Jmri is the brains running it. I am also using Arduino's using C/MRI. When I started this I never realised how far it would go and I guess the more you do the more you want.

I am trying to design most building myself and 3D print them either in filament or resin.

I have started to record the build on my Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2Mz1GBib5Av6n84GWp79eMJntJKgB61r

I hope this is ok to show here.

Ah. Ok. Your accent sounded Stoke way that’s all (a place I frequent from time to time working at the Churnet Valley)

I’ve a number of North Staffordshire models in my files 3D drawn

I have added the part 4 of under the hood spot detection. which shows a class 37 Hornby going from Willaston station to Peel station. and then shows the Arduino sketch.

Hopefully this is getting on a roll now after adding a new pc and changing over to Arduino Nanos for turnout and signal control of the layout.

Another day at the layout and editing another video or two. The servo calibration sketch for the Arduino Nano has now been uploaded to the channel. Hopefully in the next few days I can get some more trains running on the layout.

The next push will be the completion of Willaston station and then Peel station scenic wise. figures and detailing a work in progress.

I’ve been using Johns video above to do some STL editing.. sadly, Blender seems to use different orientation buttons on the mouse and I keep clicking the wrong thing. Also find placing an object to actually remove something very hit and Miss at times. It’s taking a hell of a lot of work to break down a packed STL file in to individual parts.

Blender is a fun program to use but not as easy to learn and master. I am busy making figures at the moment which is fun when you come to paint them.
